As the wild rice started to absorb the water and fluff up, I tossed in a little turmeric for a mild smoky flavor, some oregano for some depth and savoriness, and
some black pepper because, in my book, black pepper makes everything better!
Malaysia begins shipping black pepper into India, and India applies for origin - control on
black pepper because it originated there and the sole purpose is prevent the import of competing pepper, not to protect a cultural treasure.
So I actually had all those things, and blended them up (minus
the black pepper because yuck), and boy.
I also like to add
black pepper because I'm obsessed with it, but you can leave it out if you like.

I am calling this «Spicy» simply
because it is just that, SPICY... I like it that way but if you prefer a milder flavor I would omit half of the
black pepper and all of the red
