version called
black sticky (or glutinous)
rice.
There are many wonderful whole grain
rice varietals out there to try - brown
rice, red
rice, wild
rice - I used a
black Japonica
rice in the
version pictured here.

Approachable dinner meals like Variations on Beans and
Rice (I really liked his Mexican
version) and desserts like
black bean brownies.
The
black rice is really key, as we've done a simplified
version without it and it doesn't taste nearly as good.
