statement like «Would that all women had the resources and confidence to say this,» you transition from your reflection on your own thoughts and decisions and move to a
blanket statement of what you think is Right for all women (the implication
here is if women had the correct amount of resources and confidence, they would all feel like staying at home because they would be able to recognize that they were the most qualified to care for their kids.)
