Ice Cream Sandwich is running better than most expected on year - old hardware, and we're having
a blast playing with things.

Beyond that, Tales from the Borderlands
plays out much like the Telltale games that have come before it, but this isn't by any means a bad
thing; if you're a fan of the point and click adventure style and have a soft spot for the Borderlands series, then you're going to have a
blast with this.
The game does have one ace up its sleeve, though; it only costs 800MSP, and so it's worth a punt of you're just looking for a quick
blast or have really run out of
things to
play in the Christmas lull, but there's other titles out there worth your time, unless you happen to have three friends and some beer, in which case you should be able to have a good laugh
with it.
The Star Wars battlefront beta was a
blast to
play, the graphics met my expectations and the gameplay was very solid, there are a few
things I would like to see fixed before the full release, for example: the spawning system needs to be fixed so it doesn't leave you're just spawning and dying due to bad spawn locations which would have me jump back into the game
with the enemy right behind me, along
with giving the Rebels a ground vehicle to use on Hoth so they can go up against the AT — STs.
The levels are well done, there are plenty of
things to find, plenty of new gameplay elements introduced to keep
things new and exciting, lots of homages to other games, plenty of stuff to find, and it's a
blast to
play with friends.
The funny
thing is that I
play each game on and off, along
with Toki Tori and Bomberman
Blast and I enjoy the freedom to do that.
It'd be a thin experience if you were looking for something to
play by yourself, but if you like to just saddle up
with friends and
blast things apart, Trenched is a strong download.
Its «
play anywhere» concept is inventive in a way you'll actually appreciate, Zelda: Breath of the Wild is absolutely essential and most importantly pretty much everyone I've handed one to has had a
blast with the
thing.
Thank God I had the sense to follow the good advice of my Local 6 colleagues and wear ear plugs when
playing the big Broadway shows downtown in S.F. for the years that they were hiring real live string players — now we have a buying public that understands not the difference — chalk it up to the absence of music education, never mind what Plato said about the only two
things we really need to study («music and gymnastic»), because, after all, those «useless» subjects just won't get us the rocket scientists who can come up
with the formulas so that the richest, most «powerful» of our species can simply
blast off and wave Earth «buh - BYE...» after, like hogs at the trough, they've finished plundering, polluting and otherwise raping this once - beautiful paradise..., to which I will now say: «GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAAAAD RUBBISH!»
