I know we've talked about
blenders versus processors before but just to recap — the difference between a processor and a
blender is that a processor has a bigger, longer blade so it can
chop things like
nuts and dates.
I crushed the
nuts in a bag (like you do with biscuits to make a cheesecake base),
chopped the dates into thirds and then put everything in a bowl and gave it a whiz with my small hand
blender.
I buy
nuts already ground /
chopped, seeds can be crushed in a pestle and mortar, and with dates (or other dried fruit) they can be
chopped small, gently heated in a pan with a splash of water, and then they're soft enough for a stick
blender!
Then, in a large bowl, add the frying pan mixture, the lentil mix from the
blender, the rest of the lentils,
chopped nuts and a pinch of salt and pepper.
In one bowl, mix together the
nuts, flax & chia (Best if the
nuts are
chopped but preferably not in a
blender.
All you need to do is throw your basil, garlic, pine
nuts, parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, & pepper into a food processor or
blender, & pulse until combined and
chopped up.
Mix all ingredients (except
chopped nuts and cacao nibs) together in a
blender until blended well.
In a food processor or
blender jar, pulse cranberries and 1/4 cup powdered sugar together until cranberries are about the size of coarsely

I make smoothies for myself, purée baby food, make soups, make hummus, make guacamole,
chop onions, make oat flour, grind coffee beans and
nuts, mix up pancake batter, whip cream, grate cheese and so much more in a bullet
blender.
In addition to almonds, walnuts, and cashews, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds (mix in after pulsing the rest of the mixture in the
blender), and brazil
nuts (roughly
chop before measuring) can also make nice additions to these vegan meatballs.

blender, combine the coconut meat, water and oil with the Irish moss until very smooth.
Almond Flour For almond flour, I prefer to use a
blender or coffee grinder, as the
chop is finer and keeps the
nuts from releasing too much of their natural oil which will make it more of a flour texture as opposed to butter.
- Add the toasted pine
nuts to the bowl of a food processor or
blender along with the
chopped kale, garlic, lemon juice and zest and Parmesan cheese (if using).
Other food processor accessories can include a
blender jug, midi and / or mini bowls that nestle inside the main bowl and have their own blades to
chop smaller quantities of
nuts, herbs or chocolate with less washing - up.
