To complete the set, look for a removable
blender jug for mixing soup and smoothies.
The blender jug itself will be made from either glass or plastic.
There's a treasure trove of accessories, ranging from a full - sized juicer to
a blender jug that splits apart for cleaning and a French fries disc for chips.
Other food processor accessories can include
a blender jug, midi and / or mini bowls that nestle inside the main bowl and have their own blades to chop smaller quantities of nuts, herbs or chocolate with less washing - up.

Some blender jugs will split apart so that the blades can be safely cleaned separately and more thoroughly.
Look for
blender jugs that have two - part lids, too, so you can add food or liquid as it blends.

For those based in the UK, Sainsbury's sells a 1200W glass
jug blender as part of their Kitchen Collection range which retails for # 79.99.
I'm going to upgrade my
blender and thought of Vitamix but found the plastic
jug for UK models is not BPA free and with the heat of the blade will release unhealthy chemicals inti the food, just to get your advice.
* I grind my own flours using my Froothie high - powered
blender which has a
jug especially designed to be able to grind grains and nuts.
Place watermelon, water, lime juice, half of the mint leaves, salt, maple syrup and one anise pod in the

I advice chopping the berries before freezing, as even in the crazy strong
jug blender the whole ones were like little rocks bopping about the place.
I have tried making hummus before and it never turns out very smooth of creamy and I think it is because I am using a
jug blender, like you would for smoothies.
It's very different to how a
blender works, where the contents or liquids are pushed down in the
jug to turn them into a puree / liquid.

jug blender?
I use a handheld immersion
blender and a coffee grinder for the nuts, if you have a
jug blender that will do even better.
If you have a
jug blender you can add them all to this.

I have an immersion hand - held
blender and it does okay but if you have a
jug better it will come together even better.

You can always buy a used
blender and if you're worried about hygiene simply buy a used
blender and then buy a new
jug for it.
