blind Maltese, found the perfect home during Maddie's ® Pet Adoption Days with the help of Waggytail Rescue
in New York City; Cappy, a senior with only one eye, who came to Delta Animals Safe Haven
in Antioch, CA, so matted that his knots of fur were infested with fleas; and thousands more.
In her honor, I asked if I could help
care for the two senior
dogs: Hopper, a 17 - year - old, deaf,
blind Chihuahua; and Buddy, a nine - year - old
dog who was disabled with a spinal injury.

in care with Manitoba Underdogs Rescue has finally found his forever home.
On one recent visit, he drove me to see the work his foundation performs
in Malibu, training service
dogs he rescues from euthanasia to
care for the
blind and deaf, and he took me to Los Angeles to show me the inspiring and innovative work his Feeding Families program offers, serving plant - based food to homeless and low - income families.
