In May, Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman of
New York filed a lawsuit against several federal agencies that are affiliated with the Delaware River Basin Commission, a multistate entity including
New York that regulates the river basin, to
block the commission from issuing final
regulations on hydrofracking until a full
environmental review could be conducted.
On the first full day of legislative business, House Republicans introduced measures on Wednesday to
block the
environmental agency's proposed
regulation of greenhouse gases and
new rules limiting toxic air emissions from cement factories.
