Well, it's been one of those weeks for me, as I've been battling pinkeye... yes, pinkeye... for the last four days, along with a boatload of work related to book edits and blog posts for next week.So I spent a good part of yesterday in the exact same pose as you see above, only with swollen, crusty eyes, slightly better hair, and a more robust vocabulary from which to bemoan my oppression.

As for the other kids, Jackson, who was just seven years old when I started this blog, will be old enough to get a driver's license next week.
I actually needed to take a few weeks brake from the blog because I wanted to catch up with things in school as well as focus as to what would be next for the blog as far as recipes are concerned.
Last week my old blog friend Renee of Renee's Kitchen Adventures sent me an email asking if I would consider being an Ambassador for Certified Angus Beef for the next 12 months.
