I made this Coffee Chocolate Fudge Cake with Ganache Frosting for a birthday card photo shooting about 2 weeks ago and realized that this is the first time I am posting a chocolate layer cake on my blog.

-- our weekend was spent over some wine (drunk by the mr., not meee) and some homemade peanut butter cups — my latest recipe which will show up on the blog soon (of course, they needed to be «taste tested» 3 times and I just kept making more and more... because there was never enough to keep for my recipe photo shoot;)

And with work and real life taking up most of my time, I only really have time to do recipe shoots once every few weeks, meaning I only get to update my blog once per month if I'm lucky.

It's time to go back to basics... Although I have already published this recipe on my blog, I've shot a video recipe for you, so you can see how quick and easy it is to make the Basic Green Thickie Recipe!

Recently I've been reading SO many blogs about people who love it I'm thinking it's time I give it another shot.

** From the styling, to the shoot, to the assembly (writing, uploading, links, widgets, etc), each blog takes time and resources.

Ever since I began to blog full - time a few years ago, I've had to balance a super-packed schedule with lots of travel, hustling, photo shoots, writing, events — you name it.

Over the weekend, I was planning on shooting a falafel salad recipe for the blog and thought it would be a great time to try replicating it in order to be able to add a big dollop of it on in my salad.

These past few months have been non-stop school and work for me, so I'm excited to have some more time to relax and of course, work on shooting and writing for my blog and Instagram!

So many times I've been editing my own outfit photos for the blog and thinking to myself that if only people would know what happened before or after those photos were shot.

Well the weather here in NY has in fact reminded me of why I moved to LA... all of this rain and fog is raining on my parade (literally + figuratively haha)... I wanted to shoot blog photos and clearly that isn't happening:p But at least that leaves me plenty of time to cuddle up with Charlie!

And probably a much more weather - appropriate time to shoot it Also, thank you so much for the comment on my blog (I'm going to buy the sandals!)

On a side note, I realized I keep doing the same pose every time I shoot new outfits (#oops)... Maybe it's just my «natural» instinct to play with my hair, I don't know, but maybe this can be one of my New Year's Resolutions... switch up poses when shooting blog pictures Totally normal right?

Actually, come to think of it, this skirt is a similar story - I haven't had that many occasions to wear it, but somehow managed to shoot it at least four times for the blog.

I'll also be shooting some blog looks, working out (I'm off to the beach next week), and hopefully finding some time to do a much needed closet clean out.

I've been busy over here between working, styling blog shoots and figuring out how to find time to travel with matt and tag along on some of his fun journeys.

This weekend I have a ton of work to do to get prepped for a few great upcoming photo shoots for the blog (it's already time to start planning for the holidays!)

I had to work so hard, I hardly had time to blog, let alone go out with my camera to shoot Street Style photos

This was her first time doing a shoot with me and first time on the blog so to say she was excited would be a huge understatement.

While I believe my best photo shoots are alone with my hubby (when we go on dates) this is not very often so in order to get outfit photo shots for my blog the kids are often times around and so today I am going to reveal to you how my hubby manages to take photos of me while we have our kids near by.

If I'm doing a blog shoot, 9 times out of 10 I» bring this to throw hair spray, my camera, my jewelry, a brush and makeup into it.

My toddler Vivian is a big part of my blog as well and a lot of times takes part in my photo - shoots as well as her own.

I had taken these pics a couple weeks ago but with my lack of time they never made it on the blog even though it's one of my faves:) This day we had our celebratory dinner with Brian's partner and his wife, kiddos came along and we all took great shots that I'll proudly share with y» all!!!

This works for my lifestyle in particular because on any given day I could be going to work as a fit model, then shooting my OOTD and then attending a blog event with no time to change.

While I would love to create a blog post for every outfit I wear, I don't always have the time to do a full photo shoot.

We spend a ton of time together working on an annual charity project (more on that later) and have recently started shooting our blogs together.

I remember around the time of the Domino shoot commenting that I wondered how much of your house design was about it being your home versus how much was more motivated by the shoot / blog / magazine aspects.

am seriously thinking of starting my own personal style blog, although am afraid i will not find time to shoot once i start an 8 to 5 job!

I had a busy weekend creating future content for the blog, shooting outfits, and getting ready for my vacation time.

While borrowing photos from the lovely girls at Le Fanciulle I got a little addicted to their Flickr account, thanks to all of the amazing photos... Trish is so on point every time, I had no idea that the shots that don't make it to their blog are uploaded on Flickr for extra content.

This was our first time taking photos together for the blog / Instagram, so we definitely have some learning and practice to do in terms of our poses and perhaps the location of the shoot.

But the fact that I will come home today also means that I'll finally have time to go through my Canada photos / videos and therefore I think the next outfit post you'll see on this blog will be shot in Canada!

I wasn't surprised to see the Saturday Shots posts weren't as popular since I admit many times I skip over those myself when reading other blogs.

I don't know how many times my dog has tried to get in on my glamour shots for the blog Thanks for sharing with us at the #HomeMattersParty link party.
