Of course there are other reasons for my sporadic
blogging this year: a surprise new baby
coming which completely disoriented us, a new book to finish writing (and I will share all about that in January), travelling and speaking all over North America, stewarding the message of Jesus Feminist throughout her first year of life, creating the Jesus Feminist collection with Imagine Goods, a trip to Haiti, new opportunities as a writer, three tinies at home with their own lives and drama and growth and change, remodelling parts of our home, marriage, church,
friends, life, work, laundry (oh, can we talk laundry?!)
Thanks for this giveaway, I don't live in US / Canada, but I so lucky to have
friends there to pick up this beauty in case I win Thanks for these wise words about
blogging (it's been a while I wrote my last post, but this still dreaming of
coming back), it's so nice to hear we all share same passion.

So much of my inspiration
comes from
blogging friends and to be considered part of the thread that is of sharing and inspiring is so awesome!
With so many reasons to not be a blogger (I don't exactly have a very supportive family and
friends about me
blogging), I'm pretty amazed there are still new posts
coming up in this page every week.
I spent the first half of the month out of town in San Francisco — it was a wonderful break from all things normal Of course, returning to hundreds of emails in each of my various accounts, stacks of mail, a serious amount of pending laundry, freelance assignments that couldn't be put off any longer, and all the usual family and
friend obligations —
blogging came in dead last, well maybe running
came in last and then
blogging.
After a good 6 months of feeling like my only readers were my Mom and hubby,
friends and acquaintances started commenting on my posts and with that
came suggestions to do as the other style bloggers do and photograph myself in the outfits I'm
blogging about.

Heck the few YA books I have read have almost exclusively
come through
blogging tours where more than 1 of my
friends have loved the book
In the example above, the woman didn't seem to be any better than your average college
friend especially when her only experience
came from
blogging (I mean who doesn't blog these days?)
It would have been easy to take millions for my books, but my success
came from the
friends and authors I met on Twitter and through
blogging, emailing, and selling books one person at a time.
Now it has
come to my attention that a dear
blogging friend and long time sponsor of The Inspired Room, Gina of Feather Your Nest, has experienced her own personal tragedy last week, the sudden unexpected loss of her 39 year husband Michael — her high school sweetheart, husband of 16 years and father of their children.
I
come back refreshed and ready to really obsorb what my
blogging friends are attempting to put across.
