This is one of my favorite
blogging weeks of the year!
Not exact matches
Billion - dollar startups are sprouting like dandelions in Silicon Valley these days, but that certainly wasn't the case 10
years ago this
week, when Arianna Huffington launched a
blogging site with the help
of a few celebrity friends.
Sadly the blogger that was to host this
week's edition
of the «Carnival
of MoneyPros» stopped
blogging late last
year.
The lectionary is rich this time
of year, and as I get back to
blogging through the Scripture readings each
week, our focus will be on paying attention to the witness
of the prophets, connecting them to the Christmas story and to our present longing for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
I've
blogged consistently for a minimum
of once a
week for almost 5
years, and I barely make anything from it.
The last two
weeks seemed like two
years, and this time off some real football has given me some time to take a break from
blogging, and to catch up on my studies, and I have been able to do a fair bit
of it.
I've just realized that this
week marks four
years of blogging for me here in this space.
As I usually do at this time
of year, I'll be taking off the next two
weeks from
blogging to relax and spend time with family.
Of course I've only been
blogging for a
year this
week.
Just two
weeks ago I
blogged here that Liz Feld was one
of the winners coming out
of the Rob Astorino defeat
of Andy Spano in Westchester: But I thought this would lead Feld to a rematch against 25
year incumbent Suzi Oppenheimer.
Blogging has been so spotty these last few crazy
weeks (I'm sowwy), but now I'm ready to kick off a jam - packed
year of awesome posts, starting with this 20 - minute kettlebell swing core workout.
We prepared it for
weeks and finally, we are able to share with you a recap
of our
year 2017 with 5 things we learnt over these past two
years of blogging, along with a special photo shooting we did with talented young...

I'm not doing too well with the first
week into my second
year of blogging am I?
Today's outfit includes a striped button down and jeans that I
blogged last
week to prove the point that this classic duo will be on heavy repeat this fall, but paired with different shoes, bags and accessories to create lots
of different looks to get you through this busy time
of year with no stress about what to wear.
How much I've missed you < 3 Since the beginning
of the 4 +
years I've been
blogging, I've never taken more than two
weeks off, until this September.

I was going to 2 - 3 events a night per
week during my first «real»
year of blogging.
I don't think in 4
years of blogging I've ever taken a full
week off - but life happens!
I thought that this
week would be all about celebrating my first
year of blogging.

Week website, sparked controversy by challenging superintendents
of struggling school districts to relinquish their systems instead
of trying endless reforms: «Rid yourself
of the notion that your current opinions on curriculum, teacher evaluation, technology, or anything else will be the foundation for dramatic gains in student achievement.
Last
week when I
blogged about our Best Book
of the
Year process, I mentioned that some pictures from the August 20th EVVY Awards would be posted on my blog soon.
January 2010 I started
blogging and by the end
of 2012, so we are talking a good couple
of years of blogging here, I built a speaking platform for myself, I had started podcasting, I was
blogging a couple times a
week, good community
of people and then boom, the book offer comes in from a publisher in the U.S. and I didn't go with that initial offer but it made me think very seriously about going back to that goal
of someday writing a book and so I was introduced to a literary agent and I obviously went the traditional publishing route with Virtual Freedom but there's nothing wrong with the self publishing route at all.
With the three -
year anniversary
of Holy Fudgesicles approaching, I've been
blogging about small press publishing this
week, including why I chose to publish with a small press and some
of the pros and cons
of small publishers.
Too many authors work their rears off crafting a hundred thousand words, editing, formatting, polishing, learning the craft,
blogging, tweeting, facebooking, developing a website, writing sequels, supporting other authors, working 40 hours a
week to pay for the luxury
of writing part - time, and supporting families while spending
years writing their books... to sell a few hundred books all together.
With the time saved from
blogging I plan to write a series
of 3 - 4 books that will be published in the first half
of the
year (one is complete and I'll be announcing it in two
weeks).
My
blogging partner wrote a blog on this last
week and included a quote from perhaps the most wise investor
of the past 100
years — Benjamin Graham.

During my tenure here, I've
blogged an average
of 10 posts a
week, roughly 50
weeks a
year, for a total
of 1,680 posts.

Now it has come to my attention that a dear
blogging friend and long time sponsor
of The Inspired Room, Gina
of Feather Your Nest, has experienced her own personal tragedy last
week, the sudden unexpected loss
of her 39
year husband Michael — her high school sweetheart, husband
of 16
years and father
of their children.
After over five
years of blogging several times a
week, I am realizing there is a lot
of content in this blog that is challenging to find, even for me!
This is by far my favorite
week of the
blogging year:) Have you seen all

After being a stay at home mom for most
of the time, then working 45 - 50 hours per
week the past 4
years, I'm back at home watching my baby granddaughter part time, and I'm struggling to keep a good schedule, getting all
of the projects & cleaning &
blogging done as I plan on.
One
year of blogging, 300 posts, back to school, FALL NESTING, the kick off
of Blissfully Domestic «s new & improved site that
week, and my grown up blog address and a NEW BLOGROLL (I'm working on it) on THE INSPIRED ROOM!
Ironically, a
year ago this
week I
blogged about my entry into journalism (pick me in the line - up
of cadets, above) back when the demise
of print media was unimaginable.
In the wonderful world
of blogging, there seems to be an understood code among bloggers: the
week between Christmas and New
Years is vastly considered a time to rest, relax and unplug.
Of course I've only been
blogging for a
year this
week.
