I have tried this both with regular lasagna
noodles and with the
dry ones that say «no
boiling necessary» on the package, and they come out about the same!
Japanese
dry ramen
noodles topped with crispy pork belly and a soft
boiled egg.
Also, the key to a Goldilocks lasagna, not
dry and not runny, but just right is
boiling the
noodles for 4 minutes and 4 minutes only.

noodles in place of some of the zucchini — I just want to make sure that I'm not supposed to cook them first (the box doesn't say «no
boil» and just has cooking instructions).

It worked ok, but the
noodles began to
dry out as soon as I rolled them and didn't hold together very well once
boiled.
If using
dried noodle nests, add to a pan of
boiling water for the required cooking time.
MICROWAVE ALTERNATIVE:
Boil the
noodles for 10 minutes, then drain them and pat them
dry before proceeding to step 2.
We also tested the recipe with no -
boil noodles, but found they soak up a lot more sauce and the lasagna loses its wonderful ooziness; instead, we recommend the regular
dried stuff.

I thought the sauce was very thick and I was afraid the lasagna would turn out too

boiled the no cook
noodles for two minutes to soften.
