Both don't really show anything
about the
book itself... but the bold, industrial
fonts show they're YA dystoptian fiction (paranormal
books will have more curly, sharp or «wicked» looking
fonts; romances will have a lot of curls and decoration).
It's a very long
book (would be
about 750 printed pages, depending on size of
font, if it were in print) so it was expensive to produce.
I've been using a free application (TEQUILACAT, google it) that converts almost every
book format to a format that any java compatible cell phone (most probably every color cell ever made) can handle and has many options such as custom
font size's, touch screen support, bookmarks, auto last place start - up and plenty more and I mean plenty more, I landed up spending
about an hour to set it up just the way I wanted it and its battery usage is negligible.

I wanted to show how genre distinctions in
book cover design is mostly
about fonts and color, and maybe some text overlays.
What I particularly love
about these catalogs is that they include information
about which
fonts are used for display type and text, as well as trim size, page count, paper stocks, binding, and where the
book was printed.
Fonts surround us every day, on street signs and buildings, on movie posters and
books, and on just
about every product we buy.
If your
book fits my criteria, then one final note: I can not read a PDF on my Kindle (I can't enlarge that document's
font size and it is always
about 6 - pt, for some reason).

fonts for your audience; therefore Comic Sans would not be the right
font choice for a professional eBook
about investments, in the same way Bodoni wouldn't necessarily be the right
font choice for a children's
book about ponies and rainbows.
After tinkering with pricing my own
books, and those of my clients who publish through the Teeny Publishing Bidness, I have
about worked out an optimal pricing strategy for print
books which works for us — 6 × 9 paperback (or perfect bind), between 250 - 300 pages long, at 12 - point
font.
My favorite fact to take back to my team is that Kobo says they've fixed
font obfuscation on their readers, so we don't have to remove
font encryption on InDesign - generated
books for them anymore -LRB-... which we usually learned
about when our FXL
books reflowed because of missing
fonts, to disastrous results; see above).

font (Lindsey Pro Bold) seemed appropriate for a
book about childlikeness — casual without being too childish (and not Comic Sans!)
You need to think
about fonts, chapters, a table of contents, etc. so that your
book reads well and appears professional.
