My production schedule is in an Excel spreadsheet, so that I can see each of the steps in the process

readers, format and publish kindle & paperback, promotional opportunities, kindle freebie, Goodreads
giveaway, publish to Smashwords, etc..)
If you become a verified Goodreads author, you can create a
giveaway for a print copy (or more) of your
book, which will reach potential
readers.

book for free to any
reader on the Instafreebie website who options to subscribe to your newsletter.
Goodreads
giveaways are only
for paper
books but I've discovered a way in which you can also give away your e-
books and gain new
readers and reviewers this way!
If you haven't heard about this site, it's an ebook
giveaway site where the
reader gives up their email address in return
for a free
book of their choosing.

In 2016, I created BookSweeps.com, the premier

Not only can you use your Author page to show cover graphics from your
books, but
readers can follow you on Twitter and almost any other social media, sign up
for your newsletter, enter a
giveaway, see what you are adding to your Pinterest boards, and view your Goodreads author profile — all from your Facebook page.
Besides, with Smashwords, it is a breeze to do
giveaways and promotions
for all your titles, and it is the only way to have Amazon have one of your
book (let's say # 1 of a series) as a perma - free to capture more
readers.
If a publisher blog is limited to their own titles, seems like they would have to add some value
for blog
readers such as
giveaways, author interviews,
reader input such as how a teacher uses a particular title, reproducibles,
book - related party ideas, etc. etc...
