Since I was coming from the low carb
side of the
fence, the main effect the
book had
on my diet was to motivate me to increase my starch intake (mainly from rice).
I always select «Do not enable digital rights management» for my
books, but this is a personal decision and you should take some time to figure out which
side of the
fence you stand
on.
A good majority
on either
side of the publishing
fence understand that it is
book publishing that is in need
of improving.
I've been
on both
sides of the
fence, and as I've said before, I'm extremely grateful for every experience that I've had, but I absolutely love independent publishing because I function as a businessperson selling a product and my product is my
books and I am able to work daily
on building my audience and maintaining it and building relationships with them.
That's right, I figured the grass was always greener
on the other
side of some
fence, so off I went to start a comic
book store, or off I went to play professional poker, or off I went to try to play professional golf for a second time.
And yes, I am a traditionally published author
of going
on 20
books, but I'm also self - pubbing backlist and front - list so I see this from both
sides of the
fence.
