Birth» before the end of the month, but I'm finding out that if I have 5 minutes to sit down with my Intel Tablet that I am much more likely to try to catch up
on emails than I am to read a
book.
Taking Charge of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to
Natural Birth Control and Pregnancy Achievement by Toni Weschler I strongly believe this
book deserves a place
on every woman's bookshelf (or Kindle library).
There was a
book for women doing ivf that said something to the effect of «even though you've worked so hard getting pregnant, now you can go
on and have a
natural pregnancy»... it was kind of phrased in a way to make having a
natural pregnancy /
natural birth would redeem using ART.
This classic
book on home
birth is now in its fourth edition, with updated information
on the safety of
natural childbirth, new birthing stories, and the most recent statistics
on births managed by The Farm Midwives.
As a huge breastfeeding advocate who read two
books on breastfeeding while pregnant, had a
natural birth with no meds, put the baby skin - to - skin as much as possible, pumped to increase supply, went to lactation consultations at least once a week for 4 months, and took fenugreek... I could not appreciate it more.
You may have read all the birthing
books, be clued up
on C - sections, assisted delivery and
natural labours, but have you given much thought to what happens after you give
birth?
Ina May also went into some detail about the traveling she has done as a speaker and a researcher and how much, rich information
on natural birth is being lost to history and can now only be found in very rare and often out of print medical
books.
