If you want to pipe a
border first
around the outside edge of the sugar cookies as I have done in the
picture, the royal icing needs to be thicker, so it is of piping consistency.

So, I ripped the ugly
borders off, replaced the
pictures with some amazing e-pics courtesy of our amazing photog, Katelyn James, hot glued some lace
around the edges, made a few fabric flowers, and BAM!

After you have laminated the names and
pictures you can cut them out leaving a
border around the edges.
I agree with you about it looking cut - paste and cheap (although when I just saw the smaller
picture you had above, where the top and bottom were cut off entirely, it didn't look so bad as seeing the
border continue
around the entire cover).
Taking
pictures on the new 8 megapixel camera is impressive (sourced from Samsung's camera line) also adds better multimedia capabilities all
around and looking at the saturated photos on the screen is great but
borders on being a little unreal in terms of brightness.
I had a chance to play
around with the new Nook at a launch event in New York and, as you can see from the
pictures, except for the gray
border around the edge, it looks identical to the standard $ 99 Nook Simple Touch, which remains on the market.
