scripted tip - toe of bland questions not being answered by carefully rehearsed candidates, a charade

than enlightening the viewers.
Even in Refn's and Hubert Selby Jr.'s
script, this film is just so blasted limp, and from a directorial stance, Refn makes pacing problems all the worse with a meditative atmosphere which is rarely effective, primarily carrying dead air which is inspired by a quiet sobriety that distances and
bores more
than anything.
This less
than mediocre sitcom has a very narrow target audience; very likely, the show even insults the target audience with one dimensional characters and
boring script.
According to the press notes, «Reach Me» director John Herzfeld first wrote the
script for this ensemble dramedy circa 2001, which makes sense given that the film
bears more
than a faint aroma of Herzfeld's «2 Days in the Valley» (1997), one of the least offensive of the era's many «Pulp Fiction» also - rans.
Unfortunately, the
script falters — telling a
boring story about their battle against the evil Muriel (Famke Janssen)-- and the nauseating graphic violence becomes tired quickly, leading to more disgusting images
than are necessary in what should have been an entertaining motion picture.
Kate Beckinsale does her best, and certainly achieves more as the sidekick
than she did as the lead in the awful Underworld; Richard Roxburgh is very over the top in a
boring kinda way; and David Wenham is the only person that manages to make the most out of the very limited
script they had.
Though the film does a better job of capturing the spirit of the «Hitman» franchise with violent, stealth - based action sequences, it's bogged down by a cheesy and predictable
script that shackles its titular character to Hannah Ware's human MacGuffin for no other reason
than because Agent 47 would be an emotionally detached
bore on his own.
There is nothing more
boring than going to a promising picture of a project and seeing «before» and then «after» — with nothing in between and little dialog, all done in pretty
script.
