The volume buttons are located on
the bottom right edge of the device.

Part
of this is due to the fact that TCL and BlackBerry opted to go with rounded
edges on the left,
right and
bottom of the
device.
Whip out the stylus from the
right edge of the
device, double tap on a word and its dictionary entry will pop up at the
bottom of the screen.
The
device's USB port (for charging and transferring content over an included cable) is on the
bottom right edge, next to a headphone jack port that, annoyingly, doesn't accept standard mobile 3.5 mm jacks; you'll need to get a 2.5 mm adapter to use it with most types
of headphones or headsets (the Cool - ER doesn't include earphones).
These two, which are placed equidistant from the top and
bottom edge of the
device, are designed to sit
right under your thumb for left or
right handed reading (the screen has an accelerometer so it will orient itself properly if you switch hands).
You can find the action center by clicking the dialogue box at the
bottom right corner
of your screen, by using the keyboard shortcut Windows key + A, by swiping left from the screen
edge on touch
devices or by tapping four fingers on the track pad.
Well, if look at the front side
of any smartphone, you might see that the
edges — top,
bottom,
right and left — take up a lot
of space in frame
of the
device.
The power button and volume rocker are positioned on the
right edge, while a speaker and mic sit at the
bottom of the
device, either side
of the USB Type - C port.
Just to clear up any potential confusion, LG is clearly positioning the G Pad 8.3 as a portrait
device, with power and volume rockers at the top
of the
right edge, Micro USB on the
bottom and a headphone jack up top.
The
bottom of the
device sees USB Type - C, while the
right edge sees a power button and a volume rocker and there is no headphone jack on this
device either.
Around the
device you'll find the 3.5 mm audio jack in the middle
of the top
edge, the microUSB port in the middle
of the
bottom edge, and the usual configuration
of buttons on the
right - hand side.
All three
devices have a Lightning port at the
bottom flanked by speakers either side, a power button on the
right edge, volume buttons on the left
edge and none
of them have a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
