If you might recall, in mid-January, we saw the first press shot leak of the HTC One (M7), which has carried a quite different design with grille designs of the stereo speakers on both the top and
bottom sides of the handset.
There is a HTC logo on
bottom side of the handset, which was missing from earlier leaked render.
Not exact matches
Press the Power button on the
side, and the standard four Android action buttons light up near the
bottom of the
handset.
Finally, the placement
of the microUSB port toward the
bottom of the
handset's
side, same as the original Tour, is awkward, because it makes using the device or placing calls difficult while charging, particularly for right - handed users.
The right
side of the
handset houses a small power button up top and a camera launch / shutter key on the
bottom right.
Two antenna lines cross the Axon 7's top and
bottom, and on the
sides sit a gleaming power button, volume rocker, and combination SIM / Micro SD Card tray
of the same color and reflectivity
of the
handset's unibody.
While the bezels on either
side of the screen are relatively thin, the top bezel, which contains a front facing camera, speaker (for phone calls) and Sony logo, and the
bottom bezel, that features a microphone, are both rather large, which gives the feeling that the
handset is slightly longer than necessary.
The current iteration
of the
handset has 1.8 mm bezels on the top, left and right - hand
side, and a 4.3 mm one on the
bottom.
Around the
sides and the
bottom of the
handset, the bezel is practically eliminated, creating the appearance
of a device covered entirely by a screen.
Each
handset has a USB - C port on the
bottom and the power / volume keys are on the right hand
side of the
handset.
The images further show the SIM card tray on the left
side of the
handset, the power button and volume rocker on the right
side, and a speaker grille, a micro-USB port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the
bottom side.
The images
of the Pixel 2
handset in cases posted to Mobile Fun also suggest that the Pixel 2's screen will stretch even further, cutting the bezel on the top,
bottom and
sides of the phone down by half.
Both
handsets seem to have the microphone toward the
bottom of the front
side, close to the fingerprint scanner.
Sure, the
sides are rounded so it's easy to grip but the top and
bottom of the
handset feature — gasp — corners with actual right angles.
