Once approved, I usually
buy multiple copies of the book anyway.

Judging by the results and some other less formal testing, Kindle
book purchases should reflect
multiple sales as each one is a separate purchase (You can't
buy 3
copies of a Kindle
book at once).

If a library can
buy one electronic
copy of a
book being used as a course text with a unlimited
multiple simultaneous user license, then no student in the class has to go

book and the publisher loses all those sales.
This system might be beneficial for schools as they can deliver
multiple copies of the same
book, without having to
buy 30 individual
copies.

Publishers can even sometimes sell
multiple copies of the same
book to one customer, if a reader enjoys the

buys it in print to display on their

But if I, as an author, go around and
buy copies of my
book in
multiples of 50 and 100 and then put them in my garage, those probably shouldn't count.
