I bought almond meal from Trader Joe's and mixed it in with my morning yogurt to add protein (I still do this today).
So I didn't read the instructions and
bought almond meal instead... so I followed the rest of the recipe and used coconut oil and chopped a few squares of 72 % chocolate bar instead of chocolate chips.
Note: you can also use store -
bought almond meal in these recipes, if you have it to hand!
Until I got a Thermomix,
I bought my almond meal and flour and now I can't imagine buying it.

bought almond meal and homemade roasted ground almonds, and surprisingly I love the option with almond meal.

I prefer to

And while you could
buy almond meal instead of grinding your own, you'd miss out on the extra sliced almonds that create a stunning decorating on the top of the cake.
That said, I've been
buying almond meal for the past couple of years and while it results in a denser product than using Honeyville almond flour, all of the recipes still turned out delicious.
