As the Los Angeles Times reports, the Girl Scouts of America actually employ two different bakers — ABC Bakers and Little
Brownie Bakers — to crank out the more than 200 million
boxes of Girl Scout cookies the Americans eat each year — and the cookies they make look differently,
taste differently and, in some cases, even have different names.
After buying the 3 - flavor Clif Kid ZBAR variety
box from Costco, we decided that we like the Oatmeal the absolute BEST, with chocolate chip second — and chocolate
brownie the least favorite because it's just too artificial
tasting.
I have been depriving my
taste buds all my life by using
boxed brownie mixes.
Maybe it's like the craving for Kraft mac - n - cheese or some other packaged food that of course doesn't
taste better than the real thing but nothing satisfies the urge for the store - bought version either (not that I crave squishy powdered cheese pasta,
brownies from a
box, or frozen pizza....
I don't really like those
boxed brownies you can get for 30 cents that
taste completely fake.
