Universal school breakfast breaks down that
barrier between students and their morning meal, allowing students the opportunity
to fuel their
brains and bodies so they are ready
to learn.
This reflects growing interest in the extent
to which excessive activation of stress response systems can lead
to disruptions in developing
brain architecture that create
barriers to learning, as well as impairments in other maturing organs and metabolic regulatory functions that lead
to lifelong problems in health.
