This is similar to a recipe I have
for my
bread machine that turns out fine buns.
I substituted whole wheat flour
for the white flour and threw it all in my
bread machine to mix.
I didn't have any flax
for the first couple of batches, so subbed extra almond flour, then made it my
bread machine and it was a hit.
I think adding everything to a
bread machine takes the fun away from seeing how your
bread comes to life, starting with the proofing of the yeast, letting it rise, shaping it and finally waiting

As a personal comment, this recipe works well
for me and is the first «big win» I've had making healthy
bread in my
bread machine.
I've never liked to actually bake in a
bread machine, but
for kneading it can be handy sometimes.
I suspect you can use it
for the mixing / kneading / dough prep part (though you'll still need to proof the yeast outside the
machine because it's active dry and not instant or
bread machine yeast, which does not need pre-proofing, hm, yes, I believe this is why I never use
bread machines: by the time you've done all that, you could have had two doughs made and kneaded!).

Wanted to post that a technique that GF Goddess recommends worked well
for me — when using a
bread machine — immediately remove
bread from pan and place in a 350 degree oven
for about 10 minutes and it helps an overly moist loaf to dry out and not sink so badly.
Mix until dough is combined, then knead
for about 10 minutes or on dough setting in your
bread machine.
For that reason Canadians can use all purpose flour instead of specific
bread flour or
bread machine flour in this recipe.
To make things even easier, I put the milk, butter (or Smart Balance), and saffron threads in a Pyrex cup measure in the microwave to warm
for just 15 seconds before putting in the
bread machine; which gives the yeast a good start, too.
