I find it strange and disappointing that despite the World Health Organization's recommendation that babies be breastfed exclusively for six months and breastfeeding continue (complemented by solid food) until the age of two or beyond, «extended» is still the word used for
breastfeeding past a year or even beyond six months.
They have made fun of others who have
breastfed past a year and have made rude comments about it.
Then it was cloth diapering,
breastfeeding past a year, and using an alternative schedule for vaccinations.
What research we do have doesn't point to any amazing health benefits to

There are a lot of different opinions on

Although formula companies and even some doctors encourage mothers to stop

year telling them
breastfeeding past this point has no real benefits for your child, they are wrong.
