I don't own
too many
bright shoes, actually, I don't think I have any and since red is such a versatile color for
shoes these were just right.
I decided to add a little bit of uniformity by matching the belt and the
shoes, but you can introduce a whole new color,
too if you like - the
brighter the better!
(Don't know about the styling though, who thought those
shoes were the best option, and the shade of red lipstick is
too bright and glossy to the velvet.
I also initially thought the blue
shoes might be a little
too bright and
too matchy matchy, but I think they livened up the whole outfit just enough, without being over the top.

I picked white, black and navy as my neutrals, making sure I had basic pieces in these colours (dresses, shorts, skirts) and then added
bright pink and electric blue as accent colours (
shoes, scarves, purse, jewlery — or they played a role in the fabric patterns of my clothes... Oh and I may have had a pair of
bright pink shorts in there
too!)
