Sega held off on
bringing Yakuza 3 stateside, even after the game saw great sales in Japan.
As part of the event, the publisher revealed it is
bringing the Yakuza 2 remake Yakuza Kiwami 2 to the West.

Not buying this game because of trophies doesn't mean Sega will just keep releasing exclusive PS3 games with trophies, it really means they may either skip releasing PS3 games (if they don't sell) or won't even consider
bring other awesome games stateside like
Yakuza 3 (which has trophies).

brought us a new trailer showcasing the game's story.
E3 2017 is here and it's

They also
bring back many of the mini games from
Yakuza 0 like pocket racing and arcade machines, as well as brand new ones.
As one review already said, this feels like an extension to
Yakuza 0 because they
bring the fighting styles from
Yakuza 0 and added the new style dragon, but with an XP system progression rather than buying your skills in
Yakuza 0.
Since the original
Yakuza is my favourite and I prefer the older style with the static camera, I would really love to see the
Yakuza 1 & 2 HD collection
brought over to the west.
Yakuza 3
brings together enough different gameplay styles that it's more or less pointless to assign it to one particular genre.
But when Sega debuted a trailer for the latest (7th by Japanese release count) in its cult favorite
Yakuza franchise, only to
bring in zombie hordes seemingly out of nowhere, even gamers that have never heard of the series took notice.
Also please
bring the two new
Yakuza games that are on the PS4 in Japan to NA, Europe, and the rest of the world.
Just like previous entries, the latest
Yakuza title
brings forth a fantastic, well - written, mature and compelling plot, one that's full of twists and turns that'll keep you guessing as Kiryu seeks to find the truth.
Next up, Sega

Yakuza 4 to show off how easy it is to port pre-existing content to the NGP.
Despite the series» success in Japan, it was only in recent years that its popularity began to increase in the West, largely in part thanks to the recent releases of
Yakuza 0 and
Yakuza Kiwami
bringing in new fans.
April 2018 is
bringing Nordic war gods, the ending to a
Yakuza legacy and VR Dinosaurs.
I'd like to see the
Yakuza 1 & 2 HD collection that released in Japan on PS3
brought over to the west also later.
The
Yakuza franchise is one of Sega's most legendary franchises, and they have found much success in
bringing the series to the West with a constant flow of releases.
Considering the level of detail and polygons needed to
bring an entire city to life, let alone keep the frame rate consistent,
Yakuza 5 does a great job of providing an overall solid immersion to the bustling cities of Japan.
Yakuza's party piece are the Heat Actions — contextual super moves triggered by giving foes a consistently brutal thrashing — which
brings the camera in close showcasing some absolutely vicious beatdowns — such as smashing someone's face into a brick wall or clubbing them with bicycles.
Yakuza Kiwami gets close to
bringing the original game up to speed with what the series has become when it injects some of that retroactive wildness, as with Majima Everywhere.
If you have been on this blog and read my writing over the years you would know that I'm a huge fan of SEGA's
Yakuza franchise and was really pleased to hear that they decided to
bring over
Yakuza 5 even though it's been out since 2012 in Japan.
