I
used to drink a cup of the beef
broth and liked it very much but though the
recipe hasn't changed the last two batches have been unbearably bovine / feety -LRB-!)

The first time I

If you decide to buy whole chickens, you can
use every part of the chicken — everything from the succulent breasts just like in this

recipe of my own: a can of unflavored re-fried black beans (or pintos), preferably unsalted, with enough of approx equal parts Swanson's Mexican Tortilla - flavored
broth & milk (I
use soy) to make creamy (I usually
use half an empty bean can of each).
I tweaked it by adding an extra cup of veggie
broth and
used pumpkin pie spice instead of the cinnamon / allspice, but definitely a keeper
recipe!
A couple tips -
use a great
broth, with just a few ingredients in this
recipe, it's key.
So, I
used this, thinned out with a little
broth to total the two cups called for later in the
recipe.
That will make the beans taste better, as well as provide you with a whole batch of
broth, which you can
use in place vegetable
broth in any
recipe.
By eliminating the chicken
broth, onions, potatoes, and sour cream as the original
recipe required, I
used only 7 ingredients:
We
use the Marmite trick for all of our pie fillings as well (the British kind, Marmite in Cherry pie might not be as scrumptious) and since we first bought a jar back in January, when we found this
recipe, my boyfriend has become absolutely addicted and drinks Marmite in hot water as a
broth.

used more squash and parsnips (One whole bag) than the
recipe calle dfor and just alittle bit more
broth — it was creamy and thick.

broth in a slow cooker first, then proceed with the

Also, I know it's supposed to be a vegan
recipe, but I made it not vegan... Instead of vegetable
broth, I
used chicken
broth, and threw in some small chicken pieces.

My only
recipe change was to
use veggie
broth instead of water to initially cook the tempeh.
