Once the
loaf is risen,
brush any remaining apple juice
over the top of the
loaf gently, then place in the oven.
Spread the egg wash evenly and thickly
over the
loaf using a pastry

over medium heat, add onion, sauté until very tender (6 - 8 minutes), stir through fennel seeds, cook until fragrant (1 minute), remove from heat, season to taste and cool.
Brush about half of it
over the top of the
loaf.
I also completely forgot to buy a
loaf pan, so I split the mix in half and shaped it into a
loaf and
brushed sauce
over the whole thing and baked for 40 minutes.

loaves and let stand uncovered for 30 minutes.
If you like your desserts sweet, just warm up about 1/4 cup of agave / rice syrup and
brush over the cooling
loaf.
