flour instead of
buckwheat which I couldn't find.
I've used only minor
substitutions for preferences and just what I had: left out the walnuts, used sorghum
flour instead of
buckwheat, and used maple syrup in place of both the dates and the honey.
Substitution Tip: Depending on the recipe, if I wanted to replace 2 cups of white
flour, I'd use 1/2 to 3/4 cups
buckwheat flour and 1 to 1 1/4 cups whole wheat
flour.
Some recipes came alive with a full
substitution: 100 %
buckwheat, 0 % all - purpose
flour.
I have a batch of these baking right now... but I made a few
substitutions as I didn't have exactly the right ingredients but couldn't wait as they looked so amazing... I used peanut butter, spelt
flour in place of the
buckwheat, and a combination of rice malt syrup and honey in place of the maple syrup!

flour or 30g oats 1 banana: 1/2 cup homemade apple sauce (or shop brought)
made these today with many
substitutions as our cupboard was somewhat bare almond butter for the peanut molasses for the maple olive oil in lieu of canola
buckwheat and sorghum
flour for wheat cream for the vegan milk
