Perhaps it was MTV's way of redeeming themselves for unjustly ignoring the cinematic masterwork that was «Encino Man» back in 1992, but their love for Shore was short - lived; he has since remained nomination - free, despite the brilliant back - to - back - to - back comedic trifecta of «In The Army Now,» «Jury Duty» and, lest we forget, his much beloved
buddy flick with Stephen Baldwin, «Bio-Dome.»

with a creation that's both an homage to and a subversion of past classics.
Run the words of the title together and you get a not - terribly - clever yet not - entirely - awful summary of what the film is getting at when it's not busy being a retarded high - concept

Buddies Flick Jackie Chan made dozens of martial arts movies in his native Hong Kong prior to finding phenomenal success stateside in 1998 co-starring
with Chris Tucker in the
buddy - comedy Rush Hour.
Here's yet another
buddy comedy / action
flick where two cops
with some sort of barrier join forces and save the day.
A microscopic
buddy flick complete
with a crusty police captain, a megalomaniacal Mayor Phlegmming (William Shatner) bent on re-election, a sexy single cell (Brandy) who won't give our unfairly - maligned leukocyte the time of day, and a series of breathtaking circulatory car chases (along the Vena Cava Expressway) that take us on a giddy tour through all the major towns of Frank (and a few greasy fly - by - night joints like the club carbuncle), Osmosis Jones is amazingly fun and clever.
This action filled
buddy flick is hampered by a slow start and cheap jokes but is graced
with a brilliant luster that can sometimes sparkle very brightly.
The bar has been set
with buddy flicks that mix comedy and action... Lethal Weapon and 48 Hours.
Other than that, «Bulletproof» is your standard vulgar, mindless, action -
buddy flick, albeit
with a love story at its center — something that might have marked the movie as a landmark among the kind of fictional relationships that date back to «Huckleberry Finn,» if it weren't trying so hard to deny its identity.
Newcomers might want to know that this all started
with 1981's «The Evil Dead,» a horror
flick made by Raimi and his college
buddies for less than $ 400,000.
He's probably best known for his role in the slasher
flick You're Next, but Swanberg's 2013 effort Drinking
Buddies earned him plenty of notice as writer / director
with a refreshing voice.
Black has a penchant for teaming up badly matched heroes for
buddy flicks — he is the writer of the Lethal Weapon series (Mel Gibson and Danny Glover), The Long Kiss Goodnight (Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson), and The Last Boy Scout (Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans), all of which feature two leads
with different personalities who must team together or fail — but this may well be his most inventive pairing yet.
