This
project builds on the
work of two other
projects: 1) a William Penn Foundation - funded planning grant to engage stakeholders and develop a plan for city - wide
public - facing dashboards of key indicators (led by The Notebook / Research for Action); and 2) a District - led, ongoing
project to develop internal - facing and
public - facing interactive data dashboards and School Profiles.
With a focus on low - income and under - served families and schools,
Project Appleseed
works to improve schools,
build public awareness, enable
public engagement, advance policy positions and advise elected officials and other decision - makers on best practices for creating optimal educational environments.
Finally, I've been
working on two
public art
projects, «The Whispering Parabolas» (in which two massive parabolas will be
built on opposite ends of the Central Park Reservoir, to facilitate intimate conversations in the middle of Manhattan), and «10,000 Windows,» in cooperation with the students of La Guardia High School.

building (completed 1998).
The Paolozzi retrospective at the Whitechapel Gallery (16 February — 14 May) feels perfectly timed as recent
building projects at Tottenham Court Road station and the Design Museum have caused us to look afresh at his
public work.
Eliasson and architect Sebastian Behmann founded Studio Other Spaces, an international office for art and architecture focusing on interdisciplinary and experimental
building projects and
works in
public space, in 2014.
More recently he has
worked on major arts centres and important
public buildings across London, Oslo and Denver; each
project demonstrating Adjaye's approach to understanding the needs of the constituency served by each
building and a respect for integration with their existing locale.

In 2014, Mr. Eliasson and architect Sebastian Behmann founded Studio Other Spaces, an international office for art and architecture focusing on interdisciplinary and experimental
building projects and
works in
public spaces.
Cooper Union has demonstrated a long history committed to to service to society, and there are a number of existing initiatives that continue to
build community from the Saturday art program for high school students, to the Interactive Light Studio, an outreach
project where engineering students are
working to create a digital display that responds to sound, which will be installed at local
public school for deaf and hearing children.
Over the past six and a half years, Ingleby Gallery's
public art
project Billboard for Edinburgh has invited 26 artists to make a large - scale
work for Edinburgh's city centre.The Billboard for Edinburgh
project was initiated in 2008, when the Gallery moved to its new premises on Calton Road and transformed a defunct billboard on the end wall of the
building.
The first feature length documentary on the
work of British - Ghanaian architect David Adjaye, «Collaborations» features interviews with Adjaye's collaborators, a roster of influential figures in the art and cultural world, and examines a significant number of his architectural
projects, including
public buildings, residential houses, artist studios and exhibition spaces globally situated and developed over the past fifteen years.
I will be
working collaboratively with the artist to
build relationships in the local community, to develop a
public project that may take the form of classes, talks, readings, dinners, walks, murals or performance / film / music events.
Case
Work marks the first time that the
public will be able to view the artistic explorations of material, form, and spatial experience that have guided the firm's architectural designs, including both realized
buildings and
projects that have yet to take shape.
