I've checked out our local shelter, and at any given time, nearly all dogs taken in are pit bulls.

At Pit Bull Rescue San Diego, our experience of our local shelters and the workers there are that they are compassionate and overwhelmed and work very closely with us to try to save as many of these dogs as possible.
