So I've put up a whole
bunch of book formatting templates on this site, in Microsoft Word, added some tutorial videos, and done all the research for you so that you can design genre - specific book interiors (instead of generic book design that could fit anywhere).

Once you've done that, you can throw your manuscript through their MeatGrinder system, and it spits out a
bunch of different
formats for your
book.
The drawback here is that if you have ebooks in a
bunch of different
formats, unless you take the time to convert them and put them all in the same library, you'll wind up with your
books scattered across multiple apps.
In the past I've taken over and redid their
formatting for free, because that's the kind
of guy I am, but I don't have time for that anymore, so instead I'm putting up a
bunch of videos and templates you can use to
format your own
books.
I was speechless and on top
of that, that week on the Kindle Boards I was nosing around in the reader forums and saw a
bunch of threads about how tired readers are
of reading poorly
formatted books.
First, I got to buy a
bunch of great
books on writing,
formatting, and marketing for authors — each for only $ 0.99!
So last night I stayed up late and made a
bunch of videos, about the more basic, «production» side
of publishing:
formatting and
book design, setting up an author website, finding an editor, and putting your
book up for sale.
I hope he has enough money to pay exorbitant fees for a run through spellcheck, bad
formatting, a
bunch of bogus «marketing,» and a print
book that's priced too high to make a profit.
