I don't regard the Duchess of Cambridge as a fashion icon (she dresses like an over-50 when she's only in her early 30s) but we have very similar cool colouring, so when she
wore head - to - toe
burgundy, it prompted me to buy a few
burgundy pieces including this Ted Baker top.
ENG I know it's not an easy and neutral color so it won't go with every clothing
piece, I would
wear it with nude, beige, brown, black, white and
burgundy colors.

burgundy leather skirt, black assemetrical EF merino sweater over black heatech tee, black riding boots and black fleece - lined tights.
As these are a closed toe shoe I'm especially excited for them to become a part of my winter wardrobe, as I think they'll really pop when
worn with some of my favourite cold - weather grey tweed, black and
burgundy pieces.
To be on the safe side,
wear a single
piece at a time and choose neutral, autumnal colors like
burgundy or camel.
