on this route for over $ 3,500....
American is still only selling First,
Business and Economy Class fares
on this flight (and all the
other 777 - 300ER flights) but I have little reason not to believe that what we're seeing here is the new layout for the American
Airlines 777 - 300ER.....
Transatlantic is
on par with or better than
other airlines at 25,000 miles each way in economy to Europe, Israel and North Africa, and
business is a reasonable 62,500 miles.
From 25 March 2018 Lufthansa's daily service between Munich and Chicago will be operated by one of the
airline's new A350 aircraft which doesn't feature a First Class cabin and, as the A330's which operate the
other flights
on this route don't offer First Class either,
Business Class is now the best you'll get
on this route... at least for the summer season.
If Premium Economy was to only be found
on international routes this seemed like a strange thing to say — you can't upgrade to First Class from any cabin
other than
Business Class... and American
Airlines doesn't even have that many aircraft with International First class any more.
Although miles earned with the United MileagePlus Explorer
Business card can be used to book flights
on other airlines, they can not be transferred to their respective frequent flyer programs.
Delta is a good
airline with a terrible frequent flyer program, and I plan
on only giving them my
business when no
other reasonable option exists.
As things stand, Silver tier members enjoy a few perks that passengers with a similar status
on other airlines do not get, like access to Cathay's
Business Class lounges.
Please forgive me for not being able to compare it with
business class
on other airlines, -LSB-...]
SkyTeam may have Delta but I don't see too many
other airlines in that alliance that I want to fly and that regularly offer good
Business Class deals
on routes I want to fly.
On all my
other American
Airlines Business Class flights I've had to make this request — but then none of this departed past 9:30 pm.
The IFE screen
on the Malaysia
Airlines A330 is not significantly different in size to screens you'll find in most
other Business Class cabins and it's perfectly ok for viewing the content provided:
It wasn't a coincidence that I found myself
on the 767 — I selected this flight especially to try out the
Business Class cabin and to see if it was in any way a reasonable substitute for the
other Business Class cabins American
Airlines offers across the Atlantic.
As for
business class, 126,000 miles is a little bit
on the expensive side for miles especially since once again, you could use
other airlines to get to Europe in
business class for much cheaper.
Club Premier, the
airline's frequent flyer program, has favorable economy and
business class redemptions
on flights between North America and
other destinations worldwide, including Europe and Southeast Asia.
American
Airlines,
on the
other hand, charges 160,000 miles for
business class tickets
on any
airline for this route.

Getting two nonstop
business or first class seats
on a non-stop flight to Paris during warm weather would not normally be an easy proposition, but the born - again Delta
Airlines award chart still shows awesome availability to Paris and
other European cities in the late summer 2015.
These seats are similar to the
business class seats found
on other airlines such as Air Canada and SWISS.
Singapore
Airlines is offering President's Day airfare specials, with
business class available from New York to Frankfurt for $ 1995 round trip
on weekdays through peak summer travel season and many
other routes
on sale in both premium economy and
