It's a big enough task on its own but it's made much worse because you're already super
busy getting the house ready to sell — repairs, staging, pre-packing, getting out of the house during showings, keeping the house immaculate.
Well, we are back home after a nice little Christmas break and seeing how I am still
busy getting the house back in order I figured I'd do a wrap up of some of our posts from 2014.

It was a holiday treat to
get some of the best seats in the
house with good friends and to take time away from the

getting it all accomplished without completely losing my mind or sacrificing sleep entirely.
My family
got together, we
got some projects done around the
house and I was
busy baking!

get cooler and
busier months approaching, with the holiday season, parties, school productions and everything in between, quick and easy comfort foods are very popular in our
house.
But just when it looks like the
house of cards is about to collapse, LeBron
gets busy.
Just
getting out of the
house and
getting involved helps to keep you
busy as well as settle into university.
Get busy doing things outside the

Luckily, a baby monitor can be a lifesaver for

It also doesn't say squat about the literally hundreds of other things you could worry about (like kids with allergies and asthma
getting their hands on certain foods, the host taking the kids in a car without a car seat, a backyard trampoline, alcohol / drugs left around the
house, playing in the front yard abutting a very
busy street, etc. etc. etc.) It's just meant to talk about your child's preparedness for being away from mom and dad.
If we go to your
house, we have to
get the kids ready, make sure we have changes of clothes for them, snacks for our food allergic son, and toys that will keep them
busy.
You can keep yourself and the kids
busy in the last few weeks of summer before you
get back to your work routine and the kids head to school by planning various exciting and fun summer activities that you could be doing without having to leave your
house.
Whenever I could not
get them to go to sleep or I was
busy around the
house I would put them in the swing and they would be completely satisfied!
And mommy, I know you're very
busy, and important, and there's so much you used to do before I came, and I know right now, it feels like you'll never do those things again, and our

It's been a

house getting the kids registered and geared up for school.

This weekend I've just been chilling at home, after a
busy week my body and brain just needed to recharge, hence I didn't feel inspired to
get dressed at all, like on Saturday when I ran out to meet my friend David for a coffee, though I was tempted to leave the
house in pyjamas and slippers I grabbed for my old cropped denims and favorite oversized knit, yes, we all have those days don't we?
The kids go to bed between 8 - 8:30 pm so afterwards I clean the
house and dishes a bit and then
get busy til 11:30 pm doing anything from creating blog posts (which can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours depending on content, and if it is a review post or my link up post) responding to e-mails, applying for sponsorship programs, adding to my Instagram (at 9 - 9:30, which is my good times to post), sharing my posts on social media, and more.
This week Jeff and I have been
busy trying to
get our
house ready for our friend Jonas and Julia, who visiting from Germany the next two weeks (so excited!!).
My slow cooker
gets lots of use because not only does it cook a great meal without heating up the whole kitchen (or the whole
house) but because the warm weather months are often the
busiest on the homestead, I can work all day outside and come in to a meal waiting for me.
This was 1) because we were newlyweds, so I was
busy making our
house a home, 2) I was nervous to post pictures of me on Instagram (I've definitely
gotten over that lol), and 3) That was my main hobby before starting the blog.
With such a
busy schedule lately, I am taking full advantage of having no plans this holiday weekend and
getting tons done around the
house.
I took time this week to focus on family and
getting our
house in order after a very
busy season of work and life.
As a
busy mom I'm often the last in the
house to
get ready and don't have a ton of time or energy to worry about what matches and if I look put together.
Today we are celebrating James's 2nd birthday, and have a fun weekend planned of putting up the tree and
getting the
house decorated for the holidays — expect my Instagram account to be a bit
busy this weekend!
