do i need to get
the butter flavored shortening?
I used
butter flavored shortening (didn't add butter extract) and apple - cranberry sparkling cider that was leftover from the holidays.
My suggestion is to buy
the butter flavored shortening sticks that Crisco makes.
I did substitute half the butter for
butter flavored shortening.
I've long preferred Spectrum brand nonhydrogenated shortening as a butter replacement (
the butter flavored shortening is the best!)
By they way, I found
the butter flavored shortening to be too artificially flavored and much preferred the unflavored shortening for this recipe.
I use
butter flavor shortening instead of oil in my chocolate.
