For the flourless chocolate
cake layer, I used melted dark chocolate,
butter, vanilla, brown sugar and eggs.
Use a large palette knife and
cake scraper to spread a thin
layer of
butter icing around the sides and top of the
cake, then pipe rosettes tightly round the top edge (making sure there are no gaps as this will form the wall that will prevent the jelly escaping) and round the base using a large open star tip.
This Chocolate
Butter Cake is moist and tender and the two
layers are sandwiched together and frosted with a satiny smooth chocolate frosting.

Frost
cake right away by spreading a tablespoon or two of pumpkin
butter on a
layer, then adding a 1/4 cup of frosting, then repeating until all
layers are used up.
Put all of the
butter covered crumbs in the lined
cake pan and press down firmly, forming a nice even
layer of crust.
You'll have to do a bit of experimenting if you need to leave out the coconut oil /
butter, since it is used to help firm up the
cake layers.
To make the bottom
cake layer, cream
butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, then start adding the egg yolks, one at a time, until well mixed.

On the bottom is a soft and fluffy white
butter cake, followed by a
layer of fresh strawberries, then it's finished with a crunchy Graham Cracker Crumb Streusel.
As for my very favorite
layer cake — definitely the peanut
butter cup overload
cake!
For some reason, the coffee and
butter don't separate when it's on the
cake — I think it's because it's distributed evenly via thin
layer, which keeps it together (as opposed to when it's in the bowl as a blob).
And you need a peanut
butter frosting that's firm enough to hold up to
layering more
cake on top of it, so no cream cheese or whipped cream frosting here.

Sprinkle 1/2 cup the reserved chopped
buttered pecans over the icing and place the remaining cooled

This time the batter looked the same but when I placed the batter I attempted to do a lower temperature with
butter which often «fries» the first
layer of the
cake resulting in more stability.
Spread a thin
layer of frosting on top of the
cake, then pipe a dam of peanut
butter frosting around the edge of the
cake layer using a pastry bag fitted with a large round piping tip.
