I haven't tried it with a regular mixer, however for the first part where you are completely mixing the flour and
butter I see no reason why a regular mixer couldn't do the job (unless the dough is too thick for it and then some cool hands might do the trick).
I've never had this kind of peanut
butter seeing as the town we live in seems to only carry basic things.
