Hi Erin, I have only ever substituted other nut
butters in this recipe so I'm not sure.

My favourite nut
butter is almond
butter and I include
so many other nuts into my
recipes so don't really feel the need for peanuts as well as they aren't very high
in nutrients.

Hi, sadly I only measure nut
butter in teaspoons or tablespoons
so for this
recipe I used 3 tablespoons.
I understand if it doesn't work for you though
in my
recipes I often use it for the specific sweetness or stickiness,
so sometimes nut
butters (almond, cashew or tahini) can work as a substitute or other oils (olive) or other sticky beauties (dates, figs etc).
Perfect snack for a sweet tooth:) I followed the
recipe as you have it but found it a little tricky to get the dough to stay
in balls,
so I added about 1/2 C of natural peanut
butter.

butter for margarine
in a baking
recipe, the cookies, etc. will brown faster.
The little bit of
butter and rosemary is
so dang tasty with all of the lemon flavor, and it makes the dark meat of the thighs almost melt

I already have a moist banana muffin

so I got the idea to stuff that one with PB&J instead of stirring the peanut
butter in.
I was feeling daring
so when the
recipe called for «
butter» I just subbed
in a whole load of buttermilk.
I love them best with just
butter and salt (we totally won't talk about how much
butter I use), but Winter squashes are also
so darn good used
in recipes.
Heat the
butter or oil
in a small skillet (8 - inch works,
so does 9 - inch — if you make this
in a 10 - inch, I'd double the
recipe, just my professional opinion) over medium to medium - high heat.
So before you start wincing about the store bought ingredients
in my version, I'll share just how «un-healthful» the traditional family
recipe is: 2 pounds diced potatoes, 2 cups sour cream, 3 cups of cheddar cheese, 1 can cream of chix soup, 1/2 pound of
butter and some cornflakes.
There's no flour or
butter in this dough or
in the filling,
so this
recipe is free of gluten and dairy
There still seems to be quite a bit of
butter and cheese
in this
recipe so I may make this as a treat over the weekend.

recipes are healthy and I'm a runner
so I like healthy stuff, but mostly peanut

Last, while many baking
recipes ask you not to use a natural peanut
butter, it's actually okay
in this
recipe,
so use whatever you have on hand.
A couple other notes about this

In addition to being very sweet, most crisp / crumble / cobbler - type toppings are big - time
butter bombs - unnecessarily
so.

butter» though I haven't tried either

recipe so I'm not positive that they'd work.
The magic
in this
recipe is that coconut
butter hardens when it freezes
so it becomes somewhat of a coconut blueberry bark.
