I've been giving a renewal to our 1970's Ranch Style Home, here on the Prairie, and I have soft
buttery yellow back splash that I've decided to embrace into my Galley Style Kitchen and tiny Dining
Room!!!
Bright blue walls were painted white to make the space feel lighter and a feature wall now elongates the
room in a gleeful shade of

But still, I made the space as light as possible by having just about everything in it be a creamy shade of pale
yellow — the floors, the ceiling, the sofa and the furniture had to be a light
buttery hue so that the
room felt more light filled and spacious.

room / cloakroom is nearly read for my own reveal and I am so pleased to have got rid of 10 years + of a sort of
buttery yellow which I knew was a mistake the day the paint dried!!
