The customized graphics tablet has 8 programmable
buttons along the side of the tablet.
It's not a touch screen, so you have to rely on soft
buttons along the sides of the unit.
With Next Page
buttons along both sides of the display, it's easy for both righties and lefties to turn pages.
There are also four very slim «hard»
buttons along the side of the screen that you can use to turn pages (in the settings menu, you can change whether to page forward with the top or bottom buttons).
There are three
buttons along the side of the wearable, which are used to navigate the menus, activate a light and control music playback.
This can be triggered using a hotword or the dedicated Bixby
button along the side of the phone.
There are
buttons along both sides of the mouse (the Avior supports 5 profiles); depending on which hand you're using one of these sets is a pain to get to, asking you to either take your ring finger off the top / wheel and slide down, or pull your pinkie back fro its resting place.
The fact that there are physical
buttons along the side of the face of this device indicates that either there's no touchscreen functionality at all, or it's limited.

along the
side of blog posts, many
of them come from SumoMe.

The Asus Transformer Prime has a microSD slot, a micro-HDMI port and a volume rocker
along its left
side; a power
button on the far left
of its top edge; and a 3.5 mm headphone jack
along its right
side.
In terms
of physical
buttons, the on / off switch and volume rocker can be found on the edge
of the device,
along with a new microSD slot (that can expand storage up to 32 GB) just below and the 3.5 mm headphone jack positioned on the same
side just below.

buttons, a menu

side of the screen that can be used for most navigation without using the touchscreen.
Along the top edge, near the left corner, you'll find the power
button and a volume rocker, with a second cooling vent near the right
side of the slate.
Samsung's placement
of the wake / sleep and volume
buttons along the same edge isn't ideal if you're switching from an iPad or another tablet on which they are split between two
sides; we found it rather too easy to press the former
button by accident when wanting to adjust the volume, though it's something that you'll adjust to in time.
It has a rubberized strip
along the right
side of the screen with page
buttons.
There are a vertical line
of Skittles coloured
buttons along the area on the right
side that manages the menu, page turns, increase and decrease
of the font size, and the enter key.
Along the left
side of the screen there are
buttons for menu and back.
The
sides are matte black, while the front panel is glossy black, with a row
of four touch - sensitive
buttons along the bottom
of the screen, just as on the Galaxy S smartphones.
First off, while the tablet does look to be slightly bigger than the original Galaxy Tab, what has led many to doubt the authenticity
of the images is the presence
of typical Android
buttons built
along the
side bezel.
Its brilliant design features page - turning
buttons along one
side of the device that line up close to the thumb for right - handers when held one way, and close to the thumb for left - handers when turned upside down.
Use social share
buttons along the top or
sides of your blog and make your content shareable via the social media outlets you prefer.
The super-thin page turn
buttons sit discretely
along both
sides, but that leaves very little space for a fat thumb like ours to push the
buttons without getting in the way
of the words on the page.
The InkBook Prime has a flush glass screen and a smaller more streamlined design that is nicer than the bigger and somewhat blockier Paperwhite, and it also adds two page
buttons on each
side of the screen,
along with a sensor
button below the screen that acts as a back
button.
Along the right
side of the Torch 9850/9860, you'll find the volume and the play / pause / mute
buttons as well as the device's lone convenience key and the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Flipping it that way puts the row
of buttons and ports
along the top, and positions the distinctive silver - rimmed front - facing camera at the left - hand
side of the display.
One quirk with the design was the decision to put the power
button along the right
side of the device instead
of on top like almost every other handset, and it took a little getting used to.
The body is made from a lump
of aluminium and all the controls and ports — including a micro HDMI socket, the speaker and a physical camera
button — are featured
along its
sides.
The left
side features a MicroUSB port and a Micro-HDMI port, the right
side has a volume rocker, and there is 3.5 mm headset jack on the top
of the phone
along with a power / sleep
button.
On the right
side of the slate you'll find a power
button and volume rocker,
along with a flap that covers the SIM and microSD card slot (the latter worked fine with a 200 GB SanDisk card in testing).

side of the device, but there are no page navigation controls on the left, as there are on the Kindle.
You'll find the power

side of the tablet when held horizontally,

side of the device.

buttons, which I found frustrating, given the size
of the tablet — it would be nice to be able to wake the screen without groping
along the
side for the power
button.
On the right, you'll find the Home, Next Page (yes, there are two Next Pages, one on each
side), Menu and Back (what I would think
of as Esc)
buttons,
along with what Amazon calls a five - way toggle switch, which can be pushed up, down, left or right or pressed down.
The difference now is that holding down the «n»
button on the Nook will turn on a set
of LEDs
along the
sides of the display.
