The points from any of htose cards can be used to purchase any travel that is available, so your points will have fixed value and you wont be able to
buy your business class tickets at a «discount».
I do think that miles are worth much more when used to
buy business class tickets.
I might not actually
buy a business class ticket with my own money, but such travel (with lie - flat seats) is so much more comfortable than staying up all night in coach class that it's a no - brainer to use miles that way.
You'll notice that I don't base the value of my miles on how much Business Class tickets cost outside of a sale because I'd never
buy a Business Class ticket under those circumstances.
Most people reading this blog aren't going to be booking the more expensive Business Class fares where the amount of money paid means that mileage earning won't be too bad — most of us are
buying Business Class tickets where the fare is $ 2,000 or less.
