bought based upon their underlying concept than their actual execution of said concept - it's why we have so many disappointments in Steam

Still, to pay $ 25 a year to play (
early access) demos and get 10 % off of DLC doesn't seem like enough to me personally considering I've only
bought one EA
game (Hardline) this year so far (and will
buy Battlefront for sure).
The roadmap does also bring up a few interesting points to talk about, notably that in the one year that the developers plan to have Battalion 1944 in
Early Access for they also intend on holding some LAN tournaments, the prize funds for which will presumably be made up of money garnered from the in -
game microtransactions which let players
buy loot crates containing weapons skins.
The whole point of
early access was so that people would
buy into it and help fund the

buy whilst it still being in development but it's also full of swords and ninja types.
SpyParty is in

Access Beta right now, which means you can
buy and play the
game immediately, you'll get all the updates during development, and then you'll get the final version when it ships.
The very idea of
Early Access is built around this mentality; paying top dollar for a given
game, and watching it come together in the future — the mentality going in (and that's key here) being that what you're
buying is only a first step.
