I'm not entirely convinced that it's cheaper to
buy whole nuts rather than nut butters, which are made with the cheaper, broken nuts, I guess it totally depends on where you shop and the best price you can get on nuts.

My favorite, and fastest, go - to meal is to cook
whole wheat pasta and eat it with fried zucchini, pesto (
bought fresh at the market), fresh parmesan, and toasted pine
nuts.

buy wheatberries from
Whole Foods in Kensington, London, most health food shops like Holland and Barrett, or the larger branches of Waitrose (the dried lentils and
nuts section).
If you prefer smaller bags of
nuts, hit up Trader Joe's and
buy their «pecan pieces» which cost less / per pound than
whole pecans.
Just
buy a box of
whole pitted dates from the supermarket, along with a pack of
whole cashew
nuts.

The best way to feed your baby
nuts and seeds is to
buy them organic,
whole, and raw and grind them in the blender immediately before feeding them to your baby before the oils have any chance of turning rancid.
Taking all of this into account, you should definitely consider
buying more seeds and
nuts as a quick source of energy whenever you're on the move and are unable to eat a
whole meal.
I checked on all the items I typically
buy at
Whole Foods — including organic produce, my favorite brand of dark chocolate,
nut butter, frozen organic berries, and organic wine — and they ranged from 50 cents to $ 2 cheaper at 365.
Buying in small quantities means you can test out new grains /
nuts / beans / etc. without committing to a
whole package.
It might make you feel like a seventies throwback, but
buying grains, cereals, dried beans,
nuts, and seeds in bulk can save you a
whole lot of cash.
Foods like
whole grains like quinoa or oats,
nuts,
nut butters, seeds, salsas, frozen fruits and veggies, and almond milk are great foods to
buy in bulk.
If all you
buy are
whole foods like meats, fruits, vegetables,
nuts, and other unprocessed foods in their
whole natural state, you can be certain to avoid all of the worst things that plague our food supply.

bought nut milk.
