buy links I posted went to Mysterious Galaxy, a terrific store in San Diego that ships

like any
other seller.
But whereas companies in the US
like Random House and Macmillan have
bought up existing small - time presses in order to capitalize off of anyone with a
book dream,
others companies are actively launching those platforms.
I
like the Nook better than the Kindle (my deciding reason being that the Nook works with the library ebooks and Kindle doesn't), ergo that is what I

books should be available for Nook (and Sony and Kobo and the oodles of

I also don't refuse
books that are given to me free, as many self - publishers already know — though I prefer to

other authors, AND I will only accept ones from those who try to make an effort to get to know me first — but I won't guarantee that I'll read them if I can't get past the first couple of chapters, and they will receive the same hard criticism that I give all
books, that is if I give a review.

other marketing stuff for you — you can even ask them to

book and leave a review.
My guess is, certain genres (
like erotica) won't mind paying 99cents or even 2.99 for a short read, but
other types of genres won't do so well (business
books expect more meat, scifi / fantasy readers expect more story — they might
buy a short from a famous writer, but maybe not a writer they don't recognize).
If someone
buys one of your
books and
likes it, they're likely to
buy your
other books.
All of these pages are linking off to the
other vendors where you can
buy the
books, including Amazon, B&N, iBooks, Kobo, and Google Play, in the interests of making it easier to find the
book wherever you'd
like to
buy it.
Better rankings (so you appear on more «you might also
like» «customers also
bought» lists), better visibility (often the free downloads will help sales of
other books as well as get you reviews) and higher sales (the majority of people do see a huge jump in sales once the
book goes back to paid).

Establish an author platform (again, months or maybe even years before the release of your
book) through a blog / website and sites

like any
other product you

books cost money to make, and the publishing business is just that — a business.
I also set up a discount code which is in the back of all the ebooks and print
books so those who have already
bought the
book in
other formats can also get the audiobook version if they
like for $ 5 reduction.
Like other ebookstores, you can download a free sample to read an excerpt from a
book before you
buy.
If they
like the
book, maybe they'll
buy your
others.
The hope is that people who happen upon your blog and
like what you have to say on
other topics will be spurred enough to check out your
books and maybe - hopefully -
buy them.
Yet, just
like the images used for any
other genre, the design of your self - published poetry
book's cover must grab your audience's attention and entice them to
buy.
With this, Future Shop will join
other retailers
like Best
Buy Canada and Indigo
Books and Music, all offering the Kobo e-reader.
It would be most interesting to see this same thing duplicated for
other big series in the literary world,
like Tolkien's work, Clive Cussler's
books, the Wheel of Time, A Song of Ice and Fire,... Such a site would be useful to be able to
buy the eBooks in a single place and have them added to an eBook company of your own choosing — if you even want that in the first place.
Like others I don't read a lot of

buy immediately, but I get to most of them eventually.

We've seen the company launch physical bookstores where customers can

other Amazon products

The one downside of getting Kindle library
