The exhibition at The Gallery @the SHS takes its inspiration from the ground - breaking 2013 show curated
by Bucksbaum at the
Granary in Sharon, «The Distaff Side,» a diverse exhibition of paintings, sculpture, photography, and video
by more than 100 female artists from the collections of Bucksbaum and Learsy.
Since some of the food was needed
by people who had no direct hand in producing it (such as weavers, shamans and
granary guards), some means had to be found of giving them equitable access to it.
This forced us to move to higher ground and
by the time we came back, all the houses had collapsed, our
granaries were destroyed and our food was washed away.
